IDC today announced plans for the inaugural IDC IT Service Management and ITIL Forum taking place December 5, 2007 at the New York Marriott Financial Center in New York City.

Today's IT organizations are facing more scrutiny than ever to show agility, ensure security, reduce operational costs, and align with the overall business strategy. IT process standards are emerging within enterprises as a key solution for overcoming these challenges, with ITIL being a proven leader for success.

This Forum will bring together senior IT executives to learn practical tools for implementing an IT process framework to organize operational and development processes to reduce costs and build cross-group collaboration. Using first hand experiences from industry experts, IDC analysts and end-user case studies, attendees will address the strategic business value that IT brings to the organization and how to deliver high quality IT service through the use of ITIL.
